Although connecting with friends will be different this semester, there are still creative and fun ways to socialize while building and maintaining your community. We outlined four ways for Buffs to stay connected on weekends and throughout the semester, all the while adhering to health guidelines, avoiding large gatherings and protecting our herd.
Cook dinner together virtually
Try a virtual potluck, where everyone agrees to make something different, swap recipes with each other and then enjoy the meal together over Zoom. If you don't have a kitchen, get your favorite takeout to enjoy. Learn tips and recipes to cook like a chef.
Host a small study group
It may be that you and your classmates have similar interests. Gather together (10 people or fewer!) for small in-person study sessions while learning about each other and discovering shared interests.
Host a game night
Whether through e-games or board games, getting together in a small group setting to connect over your favorite game is a great way to maintain friendships while staying healthy and safe.
