October 30th, 4-5PM Dr. Jason Rupe, Principal Architect of CableLabs

Dr. Jason Rupe, Principal Architect of CableLabs, will be providing a presentation for the TCP Seminar Series on Wednesday, October 30 from 4-5 PM in ECCR 150. Dr. Rupe will be presenting on Blockchain in Telecommunications, and specifically it's uses at CableLabs. Blockchain in Telecommunications is a powerful new concept that can greatly improve telecom networking operations and customer-facing processes experience. It adds a new level of security for all assets and transactions. Dr. Rupe will further delve into Blockchain's uses in today's tech world. 

After the seminar, pizza will be provided in ECCR 200 from 5-6 PM by Denver COMSOC.

About Dr. Jason Rupe

Dr. Jason Rupe graduated from Texas A&M University with a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, and Reliability in 1995. He attended Iowa State University for his bachelor's (1989) and master's degree (1991). Currently, Rupe is the Principal Architect for Proactive Network Maintenance at CableLabs. He has been with CableLabs since July 2017. Rupe's work and articles can be found on the CableLabs website. Rupe is also part of the IEEE Communications Society. Rupe acted as the Managing Editor for IEEE Transactions on Reliability from 2003-2015.
