This program provides new pathways for underrepresented* students into physics graduate programs and ultimately the STEM workforce, through cutting edge research opportunities and inclusive mentoring.

Current program activities include:

  • Engaging underrepresented undergraduates in academic year and summer research

  • Developing undergraduate-focused research partnerships with faculty at minority-serving institutions

  • Helping prospective underrepresented students apply to our physics graduate program

*Underrepresented students in physics include: women, underrepresented minorities (African Americans, Hispanic Americans, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and other Pacific Islanders), first-generation students and students with disabilities.
