Graduate Admissions in the Earth Sciences (GATES) Mentoring

Welcome to the GATES mentoring program for undergraduate students at CU Boulder. We provide mentoring services for students who are thinking about applying to graduate programs in the Earth sciences. We are current graduate students, post-docs, and researchers, so we have a range of perspectives.

If you are planning to apply to graduate programs and/or fellowships in the 21/22 academic year, the first two sessions are for you! We're here to help with any questions and guide you along the process. We also will match you with a mentor if you would like more personalized assistance with your application materials.

If you are just starting to think about graduate programs, please look through the topics and check out the sessions we are offering!
