Project Description
The researcher works in a team developing scalable methods and architectures for trapped ion quantum
computing. Some of their key responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting with the design, planning, and construction of experimental apparatus for trapped ion quantum computing including laser systems, rf/microwave electronics, vacuum chambers, cryogenic systems, and control electronics, designing and performing quantum information processing experiments on trapped ions and analyzing the data, including performing relevant theoretical calculations and disseminating experimental and theoretical results through publication in journals and presentations at conferences.
