My current research focus is accessibility and inclusion and the role of language in experience and understanding. I am working with COVID long-haulers to understand how people identify with being disabled and how they are using language to identify themselves this way. I am also interested in looking at how language is used in public institutions like museums and cultural heritage centers. I am interested in the process of meaning making and the interactions of identity and social meaning that occur in institutions that have both an educational and cultural context.
