I am interested in the idea of multilingualism and multiculturalism and the struggles that accompany both when attempting to integrate them into a larger, typically monolingual, society. My studies have focused on Native American women, refugees, and immigrants in the United States. In general, I am interested in the broad categories of Sociolinguistics, Ethics studies, Indigenous peoples, and Women, and how language interacts with elements within them.
