As Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education has been centered and prioritized in K-20 education systems, many first-generation and underrepresented communities continue to lag in representation and in acquiring degrees in these fields. In response to this challenge, the Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement has created a two-week summer residential program on the CU Boulder campus that introduces STEM disciplines and topics to Precollegiate Development Program participants. This program is also open to participants of our Boulder County partner programs (Adelante Program, Boulder Housing Partners, City of Longmont’s Aspire Program, "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County).

2023 applications are not yet open.

Program courses include:

  • Science Writing and Research
  • Mathematics
  • STEM Exploration
  • STEM Projects
  • SAT Test Prep
  • College Planning

Program Dates: July 10–22, 2022
