The Postdoctoral Association of Colorado, Boulder (PAC Boulder), together with NIST Postdoctoral and Early-career Association of Researchers (PEAR), is holding the second annual Front Range Industry and Postdoc Summit (FRIPS).

The idea behind FRIPS is to bring postdocs and industry from the Front Range (Denver to Fort Collins) together for networking, collaboration, and providing a venue for postdocs to learn about careers outside of academia. FRIPS will be held October 11, 2019, from 11 am to 4:45 pm, at the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building (JSCBB), with a social event from 5 pm to 7 pm at Twisted Pine Brewery.

Last year was successful, with 100+ postdoc and 20+ industrial participants, raising over $5000 for the event. This year, we expect to be as successful and have revised the agenda based on feedback from last year. The two keynote speakers are Ball Aerospace's Vice President of Engineering, Mike Gazarik and Promega's Vice President of Life Sciences, Tom Livelli. There will also be an elevator pitches competition for cash prizes, a networking session, a panel discussion, and networking social at Twisted Pine.

Please visit the FRIPS website to sign-up, learn more about the event, and to participate in a workshop about elevator pitches (to be held sometime late September). Help to make this another successful FRIPS!
