CU Boulder Research Computing invites postdocs to attend the 2018 Rocky Mountain Advanced Computing Consortium (RMACC) High Performance Computing (HPC) Symposium from August 7-9th at CU Boulder's Wolf Law School.

This year’s symposium will feature two exciting keynotes: an exploration of Exascale computing and its applications in emerging deep learning capabilities, and a presentation on increasing diversity in the HPC world, which will focus on selection bias in HPC student programs.

Registration is $95 for postdocs and $35 for students thanks to the support of many great sponsors and includes parking, all conference materials, and meals plus a reception.

Several sessions are designed specifically for students and newcomers to high-performance computing, providing the opportunity to learn about careers in the field. The symposium will feature tutorials ranging from the basics of HPC to Python and Machine Learning. There are also sessions on career opportunities and writing an effective resume and cover letter. The RMACC also sponsors a poster competition for postdocs and students to showcase their research. The winners receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the national Super Computing conference – SC18 – in Dallas, TX, in November.
