The Postdoctoral Association of Colorado (PAC) is excited to announce the availability of Travel Awards for postdoctoral scholars to support travel to a conference for the purpose of presenting a paper or poster.

PAC will provide four (4) $300 awards this cycle. Any postdoc – either at CU Boulder or the associated government labs with CU Boulder – may apply for this travel award and funding can be used to defray any cost incurred while presenting your work at a conference. To be eligible for a travel award:

  • The conference needs to be between May 1st, 2018 and October 31st, 2018.
  • Provide a copy of the abstract submitted to the conference (e.g., PDF of email).
  • In 200 words, answer what you are presenting at the conference. The answer should be accessible to a general audience and explains the impact of the science you are presenting to your field and/or the broader community.
  • In 200 words, provide an explanation of how attending this conference will benefit your career.

The application opened on May 2nd, 2018 and will close on May 21st, 2018. The applications will go through two rounds of review. The initial reviews will be conducted by a committee of postdoctoral researchers from PAC, and the second set of review will be conducted by two faculty members. The faculty will choose the top four applications to be awarded the $300, and the announcement of winners will be June 15th.
