Chemical And Biological Engineering
Research/Background
I am interested in studying how proteins can be engineered in order to carry out efficient reactions, produce useful products, and create desirable effects. Specifically, I enjoy investigating how computers can help us reach these kinds of conclusions and how computer systems to do so can be designed. My role in the Biophysics Group is image analysis of dark-field microscope images of microtubules. The images we capture and analyze will allow us draw conclusions about how modifying the tubulin protein alters its properties.
