Cassie Sando was raised on the Jemez Pueblo reservation in New Mexico. She is a citizen of the Pueblo of Jemez and has Navajo and Spokane heritages. She is a first-generation scholar and received her BA in Economics from Boston College in 2017. Cassie is currently a second-year master’s student in the Higher Education program at the University of Denver.
Cassie participated in the CU Upward Bound program as a high school student and later returned to be a residential advisor (RA), a residential supervisor (RS) and now, the assistant director. In addition to working with CUUB, Cassie has worked with the Native American Community and Partnerships at the University of Denver and College Horizons in various capacities.
