Diana Dang joined the Office of Victim Assistance in January 2022. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addiction Counselor, Diana has worked in various settings such as a community mental health center, the Denver County Jail, a primary care clinic, and an acute hospital. Diana also has a background in working with survivors of sexual violence through volunteering on the 24/7 hotline with The Blue Bench and interning with the Phoenix Center on the Auraria campus in Denver. Diana received her B.A. in Political Science, Sociology, and Asian American Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara and her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver.

Diana’s clinical practice is centered on empowering client autonomy, empathy, meeting the client where they’re at, and understanding cultural differences. As a queer woman of color, Diana’s passion is rooted in equity, inclusivity, and the understanding that clinical work needs to also include strategies to promote social justice and human rights. In her spare time, Diana likes to try new recipes, spend as much time outside as possible, and pet all the dogs she can.

Below is one of Diana’s favorite quotes regarding the power of human resiliency:

“and here you are living

despite it all”
