Critical Media Practices- CU
Kimberley Bianca is a media artist and community events organizer in the department of Critical Media Practices. Her research as a facilitator involves developing ecologically mindful activities, assembling individual and collaborative contributions and resources. These activities include meetups for sharing repurposed and hacked projects, an online maker space for youth in foster care, and workshops for creating media art with e-waste. For her PhD project, Bianca is designing a web-based community platform that encourages creative and actionable responses around e-waste and exchanging community skills and resources to host these activities.
