Interested in partnering with artists and communities to design and implement projects that impact social and environmental issues?

The Art + Science + Action Partnerships cohort program helps students in the sciences and artists in the broader community become facilitators of interdisciplinary partnerships that impact critical environmental and social issues within communities. There are two cohorts: CU Boulder Science Cohort and the Boulder County Arts Alliance Creative Strategist Cohort. Graduate students in the sciences and artists in the community who want to participate in a learning community of other students, scientists, artists and community members, and address issues of power, equity and inclusion in community-engaged scholarship are encouraged to apply to the CU Science Cohort and the Creative Strategist Cohort, respectively. Both groups will learn together how to work with communities and artists and turn your research into action utilizing the art + science partnership guidelines developed by artists and scientists Patrick Chandler and Emmanuelle Vital through interviews with expert practitioners. Contact Lisa Schwartz, program co-lead with your questions. (Photo credit for top image: Washed Ashore)
