Become a Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Study of Origins!

Dr. Kyle Harper from the University of Oklahoma discusses the connections between volcanism, climate, and Roman civilization during the 6th century CE during the Spring 2018 CSO Symposium.

The new Center for the Study of Origins (CSO) mission is to foster interdisciplinary investigations into specific topics on origins and transdisciplinary research into the general nature (structure, justification, and function) of theories of origins, including ways in which they are used to understand the present and envision the future.  Part of that mission is to bring scholars from other institutions to the University of Colorado Boulder to build connections across disciplines through shared origins related projects. CSO is able to provide a stipend to cover living expenses for the duration of the position.

CSO’s invites applications for 3 Visiting Scholars (one in each of the three areas of CSO: humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences) for the 2019-2020 academic year (for either fall or spring semester, 4 months each, or both, 9 months, August-May). Application materials are due by Friday, February 1, 2019 by 5PM (MST).
