Carlton Shield Chief Gover, MA, is a PhD student in Anthropology with a concentration in archaeology. He received his BS in Anthropology from Radford University and his MA in Anthropology from the University of Wyoming. Carlton is a Citizen of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma and his research interests pertain to the proto and prehistory of the Pawnee, Arikara, and Wichita Nations. These interests include variation in material culture, cultural chronologies, and linguistic separation through time. Carlton also serves as a board member for the Museum of the Pawnee Nation and regularly engages in public outreach events.
