Chip and his family

Welcome CU Boulder parents and families! We are excited to have you learn more about your student's journey at CU Boulder.

Your student will complete CU Boulder's online orientation, the New Student Online Experience. As they are going through the process, you can use the information provided here to better understand how your student can prepare themselves to be successful at CU Boulder.

Understanding Your Student’s Online Experience

Your student will receive an email with directions to get started on their CU Boulder email account – so they will need to be sure their email account is set up and ready to go. The Online Experience will provide your student with information about campus resources, advising, enrolling in classes, finances, housing and more. Once your student has finished the Online Experience, they will be able to choose their enrollment dates and register for classes, so it's important they get started early!

If you and your student would like to visit campus and learn more about the resources and support available to CU Boulder students, consider attending our optional New Student Welcome Days on January 11, 2018.

Tip: Do not complete the Online Experience for your student. This is the first step in the transition from high school to college and we want to ensure that your student is engaging with this information and is fully prepared.
