Description

Service maintenance completed at 7:00 p.m.: Border routers at both the CC and TLC were ugpraded successfully. Internet connectivity is no longer degraded and is expected to remain stable.

Service maintenance window pushed back 30 minutes (now taking place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.).

In relation to the Internet connectivity issue experienced earlier this afternoon, the router manufacturer has identified a code issue that may have caused the border router at the Computing Center (CC) to stop proper routing protocols and fail over to the border router located at the Technology Learning Center (TLC). As a result, OIT will be upgrading the border routers this evening from approximately 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. During the maintenance window, there will be a short duration of time (estimated at two minutes) in which Internet connectivity will be completely unavailable. In addition, until maintenance is complete, you may experience degradation in Internet connectivity as only one border router will be active until both are brought back online.
