Gena Welk is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) who has been with CU Boulder as a staff member for over 7 years in the areas of IT, project management, data analysis and finance. She firmly believes in the value of data-based decision-making and the importance of the user experience for effective engagement. Gena holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the CU Leeds School of Business, an MA in Digital Media from the University of Denver, and an MS in Technology, Media and Society (Development track) from the Atlas Institute at CU Boulder.
Outside of work, she can be found in the sunshine, snow, mountains, or water spending her time running, snowboarding, and paddle boarding. You won't find her on a bike, but you may very well find her practicing ballet or exploring the creative arts of painting, drawing, or jewelry making.
