Overview

Feeling lost when your faculty members want you to assist them with a sponsored project? New to the university and wondering how to approach research administration for your department? This three-day workshop for new department research administrators is hosted by the Office of Contracts and Grants and the Campus Controller’s Office and covers pre-award administration, post-award administration and financial management as it relates to sponsored projects. The workshop focuses on the unique role of a DRA, providing key research administration information geared towards the roles and responsibilities of a DRA. All three sessions include practical activities, case studies and interactive learning to apply the concepts covered in the workshop.

Intended Audience

This workshop is intended for department administrative staff who have novice to intermediate experience with sponsored project management and are looking to improve their ability to navigate the world of grants and contracts.
