The Qball throwable microphone is an excellent choice for medium to large meetings where audience interaction is required or expected and a Zoom meeting with remote attendees is planned.

  1. Power the Receiver.
    1. Plug one end of the microUSB cable into the receiver and the other end into a USB wall adapter or a USB port on a computer.

QBall Receiver

  1. Turn on the Receiver.
    1. Press and hold the power button on the receiver until the blue lights start to flash.
    2. The lights will flash until the microphone is turned on.

  1. Turn on the Microphone.
    1. Press and hold the Mute/Power button (largest button) on the microphone until the blue lights turn on.
    2. The number “1” light on the receiver should turn steady blue indicating it is connected to the microphone.  Note:  The “2” light will continue to flash – this is OK.

Qball Microphone

  1. Insert the microphone into the Qball.
    1. Turn the edge of the black cover counterclockwise and pull it out.
    2. Move the clip inside the Qball out of the way and insert the microphone – blue top facing up.
    3. Make sure the clip snaps over the top of the microphone.
    4. Replace the black cover and turn it clockwise to secure.
  1. Plug in the Audio-Technica ATR2USB dongle to an available USB port on the computer.
    1. It may take some time for the computer to set up the device

  1. Plug one end of the white 3.5mm cable into the “OUT” port on the QBall receiver and the other end into the pink port on the ATR2USB.
  2. Open Zoom and select 'Schedule', 'Join' or 'Start with video', or follow your Zoom invite link to join a meeting.

8.  Click on 'Join Audio Conference by Computer.'

9.  Click on the 'Up' arrow to the right of the Microphone icon on the bottom left of your screen.  Select the ATR2USB as the microphone.
