Support the design and development of online learning experiences with the Office of Academic and Learning Innovation (ALI) at CU Boulder. Through video production and course building, the Production Assistant will contribute to various diverse academic projects and collaborate with different departments throughout the CU Boulder campus!
Job Duties
As an Online Learning and Video Production Assistant, you will:
- Edit video footage for sound, picture, audio and branding to create a polished product that professionally represents the University (see below requirements for more details)
- Use the Coursera platform to build course structures and upload instructional components
- Provide recommendations regarding content presentation on platform
- Collaborate with project team members using Google and Microsoft applications
- Communicate effectively with project leads about work status and updates
- Self-manage and report up to supervisor on a regular basis
- Increase efficiency of team through problem solving, following administrative processes, and performing other tasks as needed
Required Skills
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate intermediate/advanced proficiency in the following skill areas:
- Video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro (or Camtasia)
- Green screen background replacements and image overlaying
- Cutting, splicing, and transitioning video with various media assets
- Noise reduction, vocal enhancement, and volume/pitch consistency
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Professional asynchronous and In-person communication
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the criteria above. In addition, those who also display proficiency in these skills, will stand out above the rest:

Hours
This is a 95% remote position. Most work will be autonomous, otherwise, meetings can be conducted over Zoom and asynchronous communication with Slack.
Assistants will need to be responsive during certain times of the day/week, and available to respond to requests in a timely manner.
Hours are based on project availability and can range from 5-25 hr/wk for undergraduates and 5-20 hrs/wk for graduate students.
Pay
$15/hr Undergraduate
$18-$20/hr Graduate
Pay rates are offered with experience and background considered.
