Explore who we are as a nation and the changing concept of identity in America with Anna Spain Bradley, a Professor of Law and former State Department attorney-adviser. Spain Bradley, who also serves as CU’s Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Diversity, will highlight how the concept of nationhood is both necessary and dangerous to democracy and offer a vision of who we might be at our best.

Anna Spain Bradley

Anna Spain Bradley is an expert in international law, human rights, and peace and security. A professor at Colorado Law, she focuses her current research on human cognition and decision-making by judges, diplomats and government officials. Professor Spain Bradley received her law degree from Harvard Law School. She has served as an attorney-adviser at the U.S. Department of State, an elected member of the Executive Council of the American Society of International Law, a term member of the Council of Foreign Relations and as a U.S. delegate to the United Nations.
