My contribution to the MSE program covers health monitoring and renewable energy. For health monitoring, emphasis is placed on the investigation of safe and effective interactions with the body for real-time transmission of parameters to smart phones for the enhancement of remote health monitoring. For renewable energy, emphasis is placed on the use of mobile devices for sensing of the atmosphere to enhance performance of fixed and mobile solar installations to reduce cost of deployments and improve system stability.
