Rudy is an instructor in the MENV program where he serves as specialization lead for the Renewable and Sustainable Energy track.
Prior to joining the MENV program, Rudy served as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Policy Fellow in the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington D.C., first in the Office of International Climate and Clean Energy and then in the EERE Advanced Manufacturing Office Strategic Analysis Team. Prior to working for the U.S. DOE, Rudy worked in the private sector in energy consulting focusing on measurement and verification, energy efficiency, and renewables integration for the oil & gas and electricity sectors.
Rudy holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from CU Boulder where he researched heterogenous catalysis with applications in bio based fuels and chemicals.
