Ben Webster is MENV’s Associate Director of Curriculum and is the Specialization Lead for the Environment and Natural Resources Policy specialization. He came to CU Boulder from Washington, DC, where he spent significant time in the environmental policy sector. He served as Senior Professional Staff on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure. On the Committee he advised senior members of Congress on water resources, sustainability, and public health issues and legislation. He also engaged in oversight of the activities of a number of federal environmental and natural resource agencies including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Prior to working on the Hill, he evaluated EPA policies and programs as an analyst in the EPA Office of Inspector General, Office of Program Evaluation. Ben also worked at the Natural Resources Defense Council and at the National Academy of Program Administration. At MENV, Ben manages curricular matters and teaches. He received his PhD, Masters in Public Policy, and MA degrees from Georgetown University, and his BA from Bates College. He has also taught graduate and undergraduate students with the University of South Carolina and Georgetown University.
