My name is David Batchelder and I am a student in the Sustainability in the Outdoor Industry specialization. I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended college at Oral Roberts University. After graduation, I spent some time heeding the call to adventure, allowing challenging outdoor endeavors, such as the Pacific Crest Trail, to heuristically mold me into the person I am today. Wanting to align my passion for the outdoors and delve into sustainability, I applied for MENV’s SOI specialization. I am excited to be working with Exxel Outdoors, a global provider of innovative outdoor recreational and commercial products, assisting in their understanding of emissions associated with their value chain. In my spare time, I love trail running, yoga, gravel riding, rock climbing, and really any form of self-locomotion.
