Bio
Aloha! I’m Justin Thayer, an Undergraduate Academic Advisor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering. I joined the department at the start of the new decade: January 2020. Prior to this position, I had the pleasure of working as a program coordinator & academic advisor with the International Studies program at the University of California San Diego. Previous to that, I worked as a STEM coordinator at the University of Alaska Fairbanks with TRiO Student Support Services and the Biomedical Learning & Student Training Program (BLaST) as well as with Student-Athlete Academic Services at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. I attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa earning a MEd in Educational Psychology and a BS in Global Environmental Science (Oceanography). I enjoy being outside and love talking story, so feel free to stop by my office anytime!
