Joanna Gordan Casey

Joanna is a member of the Hannigan Air Quality measurements group where she enjoys learning about our atmosphere and its interactions with ecosystems and human exploits.   Her interests range from the volumes of molecules enclosed by the walls of our homes, to community and regional scale airshed dynamics and composition.  Pursuing her PhD, she is utilizing emerging low-cost sensor technology to characterize the spatial variability of several atmospheric trace gases in oil and gas production basins, and to investigate how heating fuel type can impact indoor air quality on the Navajo Nation. Joanna relishes time in clean mountain air, under deep blue desert skies, and on soft snow.
