The Mortenson Center in Engineering for Developing Communities is the premier organization for training students to work across disciplines to meet some of the world’s most pressing issues. Your gift enables students and engineering mentors to pursue their passion to provide sustainable, effective, and appropriate engineering solutions to endemic problems faced by developing communities worldwide.
MCEDC is an integral part of the University of Colorado Boulder College of Engineering and Applied Science. The endowment funding from the Mortenson Family and Mortenson Construction provides programmatic stability and foundational support for our ongoing efforts. In response, we have laid the foundation for our students to become global leaders. Our next goal is to enable our students to participate in even more projects, and to provide them with faculty support, scholarships, and funding research.
Help support the programs and projects of the Mortenson Center in Engineering for Developing Communities at CU-Boulder. This includes research and development, service/outreach projects focused on increasing local community capacity, and educational activities. All funds donated to the Mortenson Center go through the University of Colorado Foundation, the 501(c)3 funding organization that handles donations to the University.
To give a monetary donation to MCEDC online, go to the CU Foundation's Mortenson Center Fund page. Unless explicitly noted, gifts will be used at the discretion of the MCEDC Director in the area of greatest programmatic need.
