Completing the Move from D2L to Canvas
As we near the August 1st retirement of D2L, there are key dates to remember and resources to help you transition from D2L to Canvas.
Start Developing Your Canvas Course
Canvas is ready for you! Instructors can start developing their Spring 2018 courses in Canvas or explore with a sandbox course.

Canvas is CU Boulder’s new Learning Management System
Canvas by Instructure, Inc. was selected as the system to best meet CU Boulder’s teaching, learning and administrative needs. The Canvas launch doesn’t mean that D2L is immediately retired. Rather, D2L and Canvas will run in parallel through the spring 2019 semester. Learn more about the D2L to Canvas migration timeline.
OIT is hosting workshops, both online and in person, to help you get started with Canvas! Courses cover:
- Introduction to Teaching with Canvas
- Course Migration Support
- What’s different between D2L and Canvas?
