fall breakFall break is Nov. 18-26 ! Here are a few important reminders:

If you are going to be away for break

  • Lock your doors and windows.
  • Unplug lights, computers, and appliances (except refrigerators) to conserve energy and for safety.
  • Take valuables (like jewelry) with you.
  • Secure your vehicles and bicycles in your approved parking area.
  • Turn your heater to the low setting where possible (unless you live in Sewall). At Williams Village, turn your fan to the low setting.
  • Please remove any garbage before leaving.

If you are going to stay on campus during break

  • Notify your RA in advance.
  • Do not prop doors open.
  • Report strangers to an RA, the hall office, or CUPD at 303-492-6666.
  • Always keep your doors and windows locked.
  • Keep bicycles and vehicles secure.

Dining Services

Regular dining hours will end on Friday, Nov. 17. The Alferd Packer Grill will be the only location open Monday, Nov. 20-Wednesday, Nov. 22. C4C Dining and the Village Center will reopen Sunday, Nov. 26. All other dining locations will reopen Monday, Nov. 27. Visit the dining hours website for additional information. 

There will be a few events with food taking place in the halls over break. Check with your community center front desk for more details.

Buff Bus Operations

Please check Parking & Transportation Services or Twitter: @CUBuffBus for exact times. Regular Buff Bus operations cease at the conclusion of the scheduled day on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023. There will be no Buff Bus service between Saturday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 25. Regular service resumes Sunday, Nov. 26.

UPS Store Hours

  • Monday, Nov. 20-Wednesday, Nov. 22: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 23: Closed
  • Friday, Nov. 24: Closed
  • Saturday, Nov. 25: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Hall Offices

Resident Advisors will be on duty as usual. Hall Community Centers are open on a reduced schedule. Please review the chart below to determine if your Community Center will be open or where you can go if there is a closure to your Community Center.

  • Open community centers in Williams Village 
    • Will Vill North, Stearns Towers, Bear Creek

  • Open community centers in Kittredge Neighborhood
    • Arnett and Kitt Central

  • Open community centers in Central Campus
    • Sewall, Libby, Hallett, Willard

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours remain the same for the break period; Sunday through Thursday, quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. and end at 8 a.m. the following morning. Friday and Saturday, they begin at midnight and continue until 8 a.m. the following morning.

Lobby Doors

All residence halls will be locked and residents will need to use their Buff OneCard to enter their building.
