Student working on a laptop and taking notesManaging, archiving and providing public access to research data have become increasingly important concerns for research funders, journal publishers and universities.

Our staff offer various services in support of research data management:

  • Consultations and workshops on research data management
  • Data Management Plan (DMP) assistance and templates via the DMPTool
  • Support for data management, sharing, and publishing platforms like the Open Science Framework (OSF) and CU Scholar
  • Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for data sets: The Libraries are a member of DataCite, the leading global provider of DOIs for data sets. Through this membership, we can register DOIs for data sets housed in our repositories enabling data to be persistently identified, accessed, and cited. We are also open to working with other CU-affiliated units that need to register their own DOIs as long as their systems adhere to accepted best practices.
