Requesting Material

Some of our material is housed offsite or may take time to retrieve (up to 48 hours for offsite collections). For those travelling for research, we strongly encourage you to make an appointment by emailing us at and explaining what materials you would like to use. Please be as specific as possible, giving us titles and call numbers of books, and box numbers for manuscript collections.

Reproduction Requests

We are happy to provide scans and copies from our special collections and archives. For photographs and audio/visual material, digitization typically has associated costs. See below:

Other Research Services

SCAP staff will conduct up to one hour of research toward your inquiry. If your request is extensive and you cannot come to the reading room to conduct research, we recommend that you hire an outside researcher to aid you in your inquiries.
