The mission of the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries Special Collections, Archives, and Preservation Department (SCAP) is to collect, arrange, preserve, and make accessible the collections of the University's history as well as rare and unique collections that support the University's administration, teaching, research, and service.
The vision of the University of Colorado Boulder Special Collections, Archives, and Preservation Department is to connect students, faculty, and the community with significant primary sources and rare materials preserved in perpetuity, which document the life and cultural outputs of our and other vital communities.

Donating Materials: Telling Your Story
The Special Collections & Archives units at the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries have implemented a temporary pause on accepting most new donations until July 2020. During this time, we are investigating and assessing space challenges within our storage areas so that we may continue to collect, preserve, and make accessible materials within our collecting specialties. Archives will continue to accept limited donations, on a case-by-case basis, in the areas of Rocky Mountain music and counterculture, experimental film and video, and the histories of under-documented communities on the CU Boulder campus. For more information about donating to Special Collections & Archives, please contact email@example.com.
