CU Legends IV

The Naturalist: The Life and Work of William A. Weber

Follow the legendary CU botanist from Depression-era New York City, across the United States in WWII, to CU-Boulder in 1946. Dr. Weber made the flora of Colorado his life’s work and brought it to the attention of the world.  Discover Colorado’s unique flora replete with innumerable micro-environments and a vast biodiversity. Learn about Dr. Weber’s 60 years of dedicated collection and classification of our state’s flora, which culminates in our world-class University Herbarium, the indispensable field guide to Colorado flora, and his hypothesis about floral distribution.

This exhibit from 2015 can still be viewed in the Stoa Gallery on Norlin's 1st floor.
