The University Libraries invites partnerships related to learning initiatives and exhibits in Norlin Library. CU affiliates (faculty, staff, students) and campus partners may request partnerships that make use of library public spaces in alignment with the mission of the University Libraries.

  • Faculty, staff, students, and community members collaborating with University Libraries’ partners may request use of these spaces.
  • Requests must be submitted at least two months in advance.
  • Programming involving children and minors must follow Risk Management guidelines:
  • Reservations may be scheduled only within building open hours and must end at least 30 minutes before the building closes. As no early entry will be permitted for setup, we recommend beginning events at least 30 minutes after opening.
  • Regularly scheduled meetings or activities will not be permitted.
  • Requests will be fulfilled based on space availability and in coordination with Norlin building activities. We may accept programming on a very limited basis during busy times in the academic calendar.
  • We will be more likely to approve activities that allow CU students to continue studying in these areas while the event or programming occurs.
  • The Libraries maintain the right to decline or cancel reservations at any time.
  • Requests for showing art or an exhibit in Norlin Library may be submitted via our Exhibits Request form.
  • Reservations for the Center for British and Irish Studies are governed by a separate policy.
  • Reservations are managed and coordinated by the Libraries’ Events Coordinator.
  • Some spaces/events may incur a use/cleaning fee.

Contact our Events Coordinator with questions or to discuss the program after submitting our Norlin Library Public Space Request Form.
