Norlin Library is partially open. We expect that some areas will remain closed for a few weeks as cleaning efforts continue. Be sure to check back on the Libraries website for the most current information. Here is what you need to know about how to access library services:

Norlin is open for normal hours.

East Desk

The East Desk is open, but has moved a short distance away. We are providing regular service at the desk, including tech checkouts like headphones, laptop and phone chargers.

Study spaces

Many spaces in Norlin, including Norlin Commons and the West Entrance Reading Room, are open and all 5 libraries on campus have collaborative spaces for you to meet with a group or quiet spaces for study. There will be air purifiers running in Norlin as part of the fire remediation. They are loud and will be heard in some spaces on the second and third floors. Available study rooms can still be reserved online.

ADA accessible and all-gender restrooms are open on the first floor only.

Accessing physical materials

Some collections and stacks are closed or unavailable, please see this map for details on areas that are closed. You can place a hold on materials in closed areas or request them in person at Norlin's East Desk. You can request unavailable materials through Interlibrary Loan. Please check the Libraries website for the most current information on access to these materials.

Ask a Librarian

The Ask a Librarian Desk will be temporarily relocated in the West Entrance Reading room starting Thursday, Feb. 15. You can also get help through Ask a Librarian via IM or email.
