Join the first Buffs One Read Book Club, focusing on the chapter “Honorable Harvest,” September 14 from 12 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. In this chapter of Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teaching of Plants, Robin Wall Kimmerer advocates that humans move past gratitude for the earth to a culture of reciprocity. 

At these discussions, you will be asked to reflect on how our individual well-being is interdependent with the well-being of society and the environment. Attendees will learn to recognize opportunities to take positive environmental action that will cultivate well-being for ourselves, our local and global communities.

First-year students, pick up your free copy of this year’s Buffs One Read selection and join the campus discussion! Copies are available in the Technology Department of the campus bookstore. The rest of the CU Boulder community may borrow a physical copy, ebook or audiobook through the University Libraries.
