Starting April 5, 2021, the University Libraries are pleased to offer researchers access to our new Rare and Distinctive Collections Virtual Reading Room. Like virtual office hours, librarians and archivists with expertise in archives, rare books, government documents, historic maps and more will staff a drop-in Zoom room.

“We find that face-to-face interactions can quickly help researchers get the answers they need to the sometimes thorny questions they are asking,” said Kate Tallman, lead of research services for Rare and Distinctive Collections.

Although staff cannot bring physical materials to the virtual reading room, they can help you navigate finding digital source material, learn more about our collections and holdings, and connect you with subject experts.

Researchers can also schedule a consultation or contact librarians at rad@colorado.edu.
