Open Access and Open Data are transforming the ways we conduct research and share our work with the world, while Open Educational Resources (OER) are revolutionizing teaching and learning in the classroom. Whether you are familiar with these terms or just hearing them for the first time, we invite you to OpenCon Boulder to learn more about how the open model is bringing new insights, inclusivity, and innovation into scholarship and education.

Dr. Bethany WigginDr. Bethany Wiggin, co-founder of DataRefuge and the Founding Director of the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities, will keynote the event. The keynote will be followed by a panel on “Building Towards an Open Access Future.” Panelists for this event will include a variety of Colorado stakeholders in higher education. The afternoon will be dedicated to learning about advocacy for OER and current initiatives and legislation in Colorado. Each attendee will leave with their own engagement plan to apply workshop lessons to their own context and goals.
