Smarting from tonight’s Buffs vs Utes game? Let’s remember sweeter days when the Utes fell to the Buffs.

Go Buffs circa 1933

This 1933 Homecoming image comes from the A. A. and Laurence Paddock Photo/ Negative Collection at the CU Boulder Archives. A. A. was the son of Lucius Carver Paddock, one of Colorado's original newspapermen, who owned half of The Boulder Daily Camera in 1892. Upon his father's death, A. A. took over the business and became president of the Boulder Publishing, Inc. and editor of the Daily Camera. His son, Laurence, became a reporter and photographer for The Boulder Daily Camera in 1950 and served as editor from 1960 to 1993.

On June 6, 2018, the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries will celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Archives. This is story #5 in our series: 100 Stories for 100 Years from the Archives!
