Leah Gould '14 was named assistant dean for public service at the University of Virginia School of Law, where she leads the Mortimer Caplin Public Service Center. Gould has devoted her career to public service, first as an officer in the U.S. Navy before law school and then as a federal prosecutor and assistant U.S. attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice following a clerkship after law school. Gould also co-founded The Brigid Alliance, an abortion access nonprofit that has raised millions of dollars and has helped thousands of people travel to receive abortion care.
