Visit Colorado Law: You can visit us and tour our building. Information on Boulder hotels can be found here and driving directions to the Wolf Law Building can be found here. When looking into hotels, make sure to ask if they offer a discounted rate for visitors to the University of Colorado Boulder. There is a SuperShuttle from Denver International Airport (DIA), as well as a regional bus system (RTD) into Boulder. The local RTD bus system can easily get you around Boulder.

Residency Classification: Your residency status for the upcoming year can be viewed on the Application Status Page. If you believe your residency status determination is incorrect, or if you believe your status will change before you begin law school, please complete our In-State Classification Application. Please contact bridget.sjostrom@colorado.edu with any questions.
Transcript Policy: In compliance with the American Bar Association's accreditation standards, Colorado Law requires an official transcript on file from all post-high school institutions, including verification of your awarding degrees. Transcripts that were submitted to LSAC as part of the admissions process satisfy this requirement, with a few exceptions. We will reach out to each admitted student, once we receive the first seat deposit, detailing which transcripts are complete and which are outstanding. It is your responsibility to ensure that any outstanding transcripts are sent directly to Colorado Law from your post-high school institutions by July 1. We understand that incoming students who are graduating in the spring or summer of 2018 may not be able to meet this deadline. We are able to extend the deadline, within reason, for these students.
Admissions Checklist
Seat deposits - Please see your admissions letter/email for your seat deposit deadlines and keep an eye out for an email with instructions on how to pay your deposit. If you are unsure of your deadline, or have issues paying your deposits, please email law.admissions@colorado.edu.
Transcripts - Please see the above section on transcripts for next steps and submit all required transcripts by July 1.
Financial Aid - To receive full consideration for financial aid, submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Find the FAFSA application at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The priority deadline to submit the FAFSA is February 15, 2018. Please contact lawfinaid@colorado.edu with any questions.
Honor Code - Please review Colorado Law's Honor Code and the University of Colorado Boulder's Student Conduct Code (see Honor Code under the Students section). Information will be sent on how to formally acknowledge both before the first day of classes.

Financing Your Legal Education
Financial Aid: The first step in applying for financial aid is to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.gov each academic year. The (FAFSA) is available starting October 1, 2017, for the 2018-19 academic year. Students are also required to use tax information from 2016 to submit the 2018-19 FAFSA. This means no more waiting on taxes to complete the FAFSA! You can do it right away on October 1. The priority deadline to submit the FAFSA is February 15, 2018. Colorado Law Scholarships: All admitted students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarship awards based on their application to Colorado Law. Please visit our Scholarships page for more detailed information on the scholarship process as well as information on how to apply for continuing law scholarships for your 2L and 3L years. Please direct all law scholarship questions to our Associate Director of Admissions Alan Schieve. He can be reached at Alan.Schieve@Colorado.edu or 303.492.2552. Our financial aid counselor can assist with questions regarding all other types of aid.
Tuition - Please review the cost of tuition for the current academic year (2017-2018). We will provide details for the upcoming academic year (2017-2018) as the information becomes available.
Housing and Transportation
We hope you use these resources to get your housing search started. Please see a compiled list of housing tips, neighborhood suggestions, and a list of housing options compiled at the CU Off-Campus Housing Fair on January 18, 2017 here. We will update this list after the next Housing Fair.
Some tips:
- For those of you who decide to live in Boulder, it is advisable to live outside of the neighborhood called "The Hill," which has a reputation for being heavily populated with undergraduate students.
- Make sure to join the incoming class Facebook page. Admitted students often find housing and roommates in this group, so feel free to post housing needs and availability.
- In early 2018, we will be connecting all admitted students to a current student to serve as a resource. Please feel free to ask them about housing and what they have done.

Disability Services - The University of Colorado Boulder's Disability Services Office is available to assist students throughout their journey at the university.
Veteran Services - The Veterans Services Office at the University of Colorado Boulder is available to assist students in making the successful transition into our campus environment. They provide a key point of contact for counseling and program information for the veteran/military community at CU-Boulder, while developing and maintaining productive relations with off-campus organizations and programs serving veterans. Veterans Educational Benefits is part of the Office of Veterans Services and helps eligible students apply to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs for their VA educational benefits. They also process VA enrollment certifications for students each term.
Employment During 1L Year: Colorado Law students may not accept employment during the first two semesters of study except with permission from the Dean’s Office. To obtain such permission, please complete the Request for Permission to Work During First Two Semesters of Study form.
