  • Blaine McCarthy has been awarded the Marian Sharrah Fellowship for the summer of 2016.
  • Blaine McCarthy has been awarded the John S. Meek teaching award for her excellence as an organic chemistry teaching assistant. 

April 2016:

  • Bin Liu joins the group as a post-doctoral researcher. Bin completed his PhD in Chemistry studying C-H bond activation reaction development under Prof. Bing-Feng Shi at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China.
  • Bonnie Ramsey and Tracy French are invited to attend the ACS Summer School on Green Chemistry & Sustainable Energy this June at the School of Mines in Golden, CO.
  • Ya Du joins the group as a post-doctoral researcher. Ya received her PhD in Chemistry under Prof. Liangnian He at Nankai University in Tianjin, China, where she studied the catalysis of synthetic carbon dioxide chemistry.
  • Rob Learsch has been awarded NSF GRFP and Kyle Foster received an honorable mention.
  • James Danahey, Reid Gilsdorf, and Sarah Lincoln were awarded Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) fellowships.

  • Chern Lim joins the group as a post-doctoral research. Chern received his PhD in Chemical Engineering under Prof. Charles Musgrave here at the University of Colorado - Boulder.

December 2015:

  • The Miyake Research Group, in collaboration with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the California Institute of Technology, and Materia Inc., is awarded grant from the DOE's Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-E) to fund the development of energy efficient window coatings. Read More
  • Andrew Lockwood has completed his research in the Miyake Group and is headed back to the University of Southampton, UK to complete his master's degree.
