Research interests: emerging infectious disease, parasitology, epidemiology, and public health

Hello! After graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder, with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, a minor in Leadership Studies and a certificate in Public Health, I am continuing my time with the Johnson Lab as the Field Team Lead. I am interested in studying infectious disease in Epidemiological and Public Health contexts. I am particularly fascinated in the intersectionality of infectious disease: how host-pathogen biology, environment, and socioeconomic factors all influence health, and hope to pursue a deeper understanding of the biological mechanisms of infection along with the sociological drivers of health. I will further pursue these questions next year as I begin my MS in Infectious Disease Control at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine this fall! When not wading through ponds, you can find me skiing, climbing, or just being outside!
