Jessica Quinn, Johnson Lab
Research interests: parasite ecology, aquatic ecology, citizen science, invasive species

I was introduced to the world of parasites when I took Dr. Chelsea Wood’s Parasite Ecology course as an undergraduate student at the University of Washington. Feeling inspired by Dr. Wood’s enthusiastic and interesting lectures, I approached her outside of class to inquire about the possibility if doing research in the Wood Lab. I had the opportunity to study parasites in shore crabs as my senior Capstone project, spending equal time in the field and the lab and having an amazing experience. After receiving my B.S. from the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, I was delighted at the chance to relocate to Colorado to be a part of the Johnson Lab and continue to learn more about parasites.

Outside of the lab I enjoy drawing and painting, paddle boarding, and watching a good ballgame.
