New publication

July 9, 2018

In a recent publication in the Journal of Physical Chemistry C , Pearce, Duncan, Damrauer, and Dukovic show direct measurements of ultrafast hole transfer from photoexcited cadmium sulfide quantum dots to a molecular water oxidation catalyst.

New publication about trapped-hole diffusion in CdSe nanocrystals

July 2, 2018

In a new publication in Journal of Physical Chemistry C, James et al study the spatial dynamics of trapped photoexcited holes in CdSe nanorods, showing that trapped holes diffuse among traps.

Dr. Grennell's first piece for PBS News Hour!

June 15, 2018

Former group member, Dr. Amanda Grennell, has published her first article for PBS News Hour as an AAAS Fellow!

Theory paper on trapped-hole diffusion

June 14, 2018

A new publication in the Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters , led by our theory collaborators Peyton Cline and Prof. Joel Eaves , describes DFT investigations into hole-trap states and the mechanism by which trapped holes diffuse on CdS nanocrystal surfaces. This supports previous work by group member James Utterback.

James defends his dissertation!

May 2, 2018

Congratulations to James Utterback, who defended his dissertation on excited-state dynamics of semiconductor nanocrystals today. We are very excited that James will be continuing his work in the Dukovic group next year as a postdoc!

New Student!
